Eddisbury Hill Fort is mainly linked to one named farm: Old Pale Farm. Historic England lists it as "Eddisbury hillfort east of Old Pale Farm", and records the site in Delamere and Oakmere. It also notes the lane from Old Pale Farm and the fields north of it within the monument description. Historic England
The land around the fort is not all separate farms. The western and northern parts are recorded as Forestry Commission land, while the rest is associated with Old Pale Farm, according to the hillfort summary sources. Wikipedia
Eddisbury Hill Fort is not just a dot on a map. It sits in a wider farming and forest landscape, with Old Pale Farm closely linked to the monument and Forestry land wrapping around parts of it. This was a place chosen for height, visibility and control of the land around it.
